The new app has launched and, after deleting several saved photos to make room for the app, I downloaded it. Actually, I'm using it right now. The overall design is a little bland. But looks aren't everything, is what I tell dates.
The feel of the app is very user-friendly. I easily found my way around to all different categories. Which works by sliding left and right. The bottom of the screen is reserved for a panel. On it is the Watch Feed, What's Hot section, and the Submit Art button. All of these function fairly easy.
Now onto the Art page itself. This being the page on which your art is displayed on. The image is on full display with the title always visible at the top. The panel at the bottom is now for all the info. Artist and artwork information, an Add To Favorites button, and of course Comments.
Navigating menus felt a little easier than using my phone's web browser. All the buttons are easier to see and respond when touched. With my web browser most features were placed right next to each other which lead to plenty of mishaps. I really appreciate the spacing that the app gives.
All in all this is a very well thought out and well executed idea. While I didn't care for the color scheme, every feature works as promised. Maybe after some time of getting used to it, this will probably be my go-to for viewing art on the go.
